I would like to take this opportunity to say 'Welcome Back!' to all our students, faculty and staff.
We are finishing up our first week of school and getting ready to introduce our full program to students starting next week. That means ART and the other Enrichment Programs will be beginning. Personally, I am excited to get back into the classroom with students and am looking forward to the new thematic units and some great new art projects.
PLEASE make sure your child is properly dressed on his/her designated art day (schedule below). Art can be a messy endeavor, even on days when we are not using paint! So please, no white clothes, new clothes, or special clothes that we don't want accidentally ruined.
Art Schedule for 2015-2016

Just a reminder that if you entered your child's art work in this year's Monterey County Fair, that the art work is due at the fair grounds on Saturday August 16.
Each art piece needs to be either matted or framed. If using a frame, a hanging apparatus must be securely attached or the framed art may be disqualified.
If you choose to matte the art piece, know that a simple piece of contrasting colored construction paper is acceptable. You don't have to spend a lot of money on this!
Judging does NOT consider the matte or frame method -- only the artwork is considered.
PLEASE ENSURE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS INCLUDED ON THE BACK OF EACH PIECE YOU ARE ENTERING:
Division (Junior Home Arts)
Class (painting; ceramics; sculpture; etc.)
For more information, please refer to page 41 in
And, don't forget to let Ms Tara know your child has an entry in the Fair!
