First Grade Pigs
We wrapped up our last working Art class for the year with pigs! First Graders were provided with a quick lesson on how to draw a simple pig form and then had their imaginations tickled with some fantastical potential elements for their pigs...flying pigs, anyone?
I was really impressed with the growth they've shown over the year and greatly enjoyed seeing what their imaginations concocted for their piggy adventures.
Again, the great photography is courtesy of my Third Grader, Keith who was very excited to see his photographs entered onto a blog and posted online.
Kindergarten 'Hungry Caterpillars'
The last working Art class for Kinder this year was amazing! I read Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar to my students and then briefly walked them through the basics of drawing a caterpillar. Then I unleashed them and told them to draw a background of their choosing.
It was great seeing how much students have grown over the year, physically, socially, mentally, and artistically.
